Nigerian Women Making History: Three Kofos and A Gambo

The 1962 Electoral act made it explicitly illegal for women in Northern Nigeria to vote, women like Hajia Gambo Sawaba, a Nigerian women's rights activist, politician and philanthropist, fought tirelessly to gain the right to vote and be voted for.
